Interesting gas mileage scam link
Here's one I found surfing through a site called How to Spot a Psychopath. Modern Mechanix reprinted a Popular Mechanics article called Beware the Gasoline Dope Racket from 1936 about many dubious gasoline additives, including naphthalene, which some of the readers of my blog may recognize as STP Fuel System Cleaner. Some things just never change.
